- In order to shorten the quarantine period with a certificate of the negative result, you are required to have a COVID-test at the designated medical institution/clinic after the 3rd day after your arrival day and to obtain a “Notice of Permission to End Quarantine” from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare after submitting the negative result certificate of such testing.
- Please note that to use the public transportation to/from the designated medical institution is prohibited.
- Please confirm by yourself in advance how long it will take you to obtain the negative result certificate after the COVID-test conducted, and how long it will take you to obtain the notice of permission after the certificate is submitted. It is depending on the institutions and may take a couple of days.
■ For people who plan to stay until the expiration of 7-day self-quarantine period
